Cheap iPod Classic 160GB 7th Generation

Our Price: $137

With the extortionate prices of the iPhone on AT&T, much greater than anywhere else in the world, there is no better time than now to get yourself a cheap iPod Classic.

What needs to be said about the iPod classic that has not been said already? It's sleek, slick and plays all your music files and mp3s as well as all the latest video formats. The whopping 160GB on offer can give you hours of entertainment. Compare that to the 16GB you can store on an iPhone 4. I know many people that use their iPod classic as an external hard drive to back up all of their media and with 160GB, why not? This means up to 40,000 songs, 200 hours of video or 25,000 photos. You can even rent movies, buy TV shows, and download video podcasts from the iTunes Store and play them on your iPod classic. Perfect for those long trips, this device lasts for up to 36 hours of battery life.

iPod classic comes with three games-Vortex, iQuiz, and Klondike and you can purchase more games especially designed for this device through the iTunes store. This iPod is perfect for people that have really big mp3 collections. You don't have to decide which music to leave at home because you can take it all with you. There's also a Genius feature which is very nifty. If you're really enjoying a song, you can use Genius to find other songs similar to that one. So whatever mood you're in, mellow or excited, Genius will make you a play-list that you can save to enjoy over and over again. You can also browse your music with cover flow which gives your collection a whole new look.

This extraordinary price won't last long, if you'd rather choose substance and capacity as your main quality in an iPod, then the iPod Classic is for you.

iPod Classic 160GB 7th Generation Reviews (3)

iPod video’s screen is very small, I don’t know if anyone would like to watch movies or videos in such a small screen. I found the video quality to be actually better than I expected. The screen is also quite big and the resolution is quite sharp. It takes some ten to twelve seconds for videos or movies to load. The controls like pausing and fast forwarding works very well but it does not support chapters.

Pros: good design, nice video quality, nice resolution.
Cons: no chapter support, small screen, movies take time to load.

To actually enjoy movies in the smallish screen of iPod Video you have to hold it very close to your face and even then you will miss the fine details of the movie or video that you are watching. There is no chapter support and movies take around 12 second to start playing. I guess it is building some kind of cache during this time because of which we can fast forward the movie without any problem.

Pros: lots of memory, nice resolution, built quality.
Cons: small screen, no chapter support, slow

The iPod Video is almost the same size as old first generation iPod classics. But it is a lot thinner than that and a little bit bigger, mostly the screen. The wheel is also small, I think then have tried to maximise the screen and reduces the size of the rest of the stuff. The increased size of the screen and the resolution is makes watching movies and videos in it better. The huge memory size means that you can put in it lots of videos and movies.

Pros: storage, built quality, video resolution
Cons: small screen, video formats not supported. no chapter support.
