The photos are brilliant, the colors and the details are excellent. It has a good number of presets but also some manual settings so it can be used as a point and shot camera and also for more advanced amateurs who like to play with the settings. The menu system is easy to use and fast. The LCD screen is also great, it accurately displays the photos.At high ISO settings the pictures are a bit grainy, but this is an issue with almost all compact cameras.The video mode is great, the movies are pretty decent out of this small guy. The large screen is very nice. It has a large number of shooting modes what I found very useful. This unit also has an excellent video mode. A very interesting feature is the time lapse video, I was playing with it a lot and it was a fun. The large screen comes handy when reviewing the recorded videos.The menu system and the controls are pretty intuitive, I got familiar with it quickly, I had to look at the manual only a few times. I was looking for a small pocket friendly camera and I have to say that this one is almost too small. It does not have the greatest grip among the compacts but if you want portability that can have disadvantages like this.
