I bought it because of the long zoom range and the movable LCD but all of it's other features are excellent. For only $360 I gave for it I would say it was a best buy. The photos it takes are awesome. It took me a while to learn everything about my camera using the manual and the internet, but it worth the effort, now I can fully take advantage of the camera features. The IS makes possible shooting at 20x zoom without getting blurry images. Even in bad lighting conditions I was able to get good photos at higher ISO values, the noise is hardly noticeable at the 400 setting. Overally I'm satisfied with this camera and I would recommend it for beginners and amateurs because it has a perfect auto mode and lots of available manual settings.Pros: movable LCD, zoom range, features, easy to use menu systemCons: operation manual could be better

Great camera! The SX10is is a great improvement over the earlier Canon ultrazooms. For starters, Canon finally fixed the issue with the camera lens. The buttons are a lot easier to reach what makes the camera even more usable. The 20X zoom lens is incredible! The 10 megapixel chip paired with the 20x zoom lens and image stabilization ensures excellent pictures. The video mode is very good, almost no need for a camcorder if you have this camera! Battery Life is excellent. The SX10is has a lot of manual controls like the Canon cameras usually what makes it a good choice for more advanced photographers who wants lcd viewfinder, zoom lens and video mode. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants a superzoom camera with tons of features, excellent photo quality and easy of use.Pros: awesome 20x zoom, very easy to use, price, picture qualityCons: weight maybe

I have had a lot of Canon digital cameras so far and I like this one the most.
