I wanted a pocket friendly camera, and this one has a huge LCD despite it's size what I found a big advantage. The camera starts up fast and the shutter lag is minimal. I got used to it very quickly, the menus and the settings are easy to use, and it takes excellent pictures. The resolution is great and the colors are natural. There is some noise on the low light photos and the flash looks overpowered on closeups. The color of the exterior plastic started to came off after only a few weeks of usage and the battery cover feels cheap, but it does it's job.It would be great to have image stabilization also, but in this price range I think that this camera is a good value. I would recommend it.Pros: pocket friendly, great display, quick, good photosCons: battery cover feels cheap

This camera replaced my 4 year old Olympus. This camera is pretty small, but hase a big 3 inch display, easy to use layout, and great manuals - there is a basic and an advanced, more detailed version. The camera has great preset scene modes and it is very usable. It has no optical viewfinder, but it is not a con in my opinion, the large LCD is usable in any lighting conditions and the battery life is great, so it does not seem that it is draining the battery quickly.I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a great camera for affordable price.Pros: design, size, large display, excellent photosCons: none

This camera has everything you want in a point and shoot camera.

We have a few other Canon cameras in the family, ranging from ultra compact to dSLR and all of them are excellent cameras, easy to use and all of them make excellent photos.
