After reading mostly positive reviews about this camera before I have purchased it. In this price range it seemed the best choice, so I have pulled the trigger on it. I’m really satisfied with what I got. Maybe it’s not perfect, but it’s hard to beat in this price range. It’s a D300 lite
I never had a DSLR before, I was a bit worried, but out of the box, the first results were imressive. I started with using the auto and preset modes. The 12.3MP resolution allows me to make some good crops from almost any photo. It has a video mode also, but it is somehow limited – 5 minutes for HD videos and no autofocus. It’s definitely not a camcorder.
I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants to buy a digital SLR in this price range, even beginners can get excellent shots out of the box with it, the image quality is great and it is easy to use.
Pros:
speed, image quality, usability
Cons:
5min movie limit
I wanted to buy a camera that is more serious than a compact, and I can tell that the D90 is definitely a big step up. It has picture control features with cool presets which can be customized and saved as custom presets, so you can retrieve them quickly when you need.
The D-Lighting feature is awesome, also the 3D Color Matrix Metering II with Scene Recognition System makes making great photos a lot easier. I have a fast 4GB memory card in it which can store around 650 shots. The battery life it’s excellent, I have a backup battery too, with this setup I can fill the memory card up a few times with photos without thinking about the battery.
The included software for image transfer and manipulation is quite decent. If you want a great camera at affordable price that it more than a point and shot, this one is definitely for you.
Pros:
easy to use, quality, software
Cons:
memory card not included
I like very much your page. It is very informative, helpful (showing deals, giving choises and ideas) and also opening view at possibilities.
I am still looking for the camera I like to have it and I found here few with very good prices. I just have to decide what I really newed. I have baby girl and I am not sure if I should buy picture camera with the ability to make movie, or just picture camera? I already have Canon Optura DV camcorder but I am not sure if the quality is the same as in digital camera. Also having for example Nikon D90 I don’t have to carie on two cameras.
