It has picture control features with cool presets which can be customized and saved as custom presets, so you can retrieve them quickly when you need.The D-Lighting feature is awesome, also the 3D Color Matrix Metering II with Scene Recognition System makes making great photos a lot easier. I have a fast 4GB memory card in it which can store around 650 shots. The battery life it's excellent, I have a backup battery too, with this setup I can fill the memory card up a few times with photos without thinking about the battery.The included software for image transfer and manipulation is quite decent. In this price range it seemed the best choice, so I have pulled the trigger on it. I'm really satisfied with what I got. Maybe it's not perfect, but it's hard to beat in this price range. It's a D300 lite :)I never had a DSLR before, I was a bit worried, but out of the box, the first results were imressive. I started with using the auto and preset modes. The 12.3MP resolution allows me to make some good crops from almost any photo. It has a video mode also, but it is somehow limited - 5 minutes for HD videos and no autofocus.
