Are you a budding photographer that’s searching for the best entry-level DSLR on the market? If you fancy finally upgrading from a point and shoot you'll really enjoy the Nikon D5000, the incredibly compact and light weight 12megapixel DSLR with HD Video that’s great in low light conditions.

The Nikon D5000 is feature rich and highly advanced, but it’s also really easy to use to. You’ll get some great photos using the auto mode as well as the pre-set scene selections. Experience photographers will love the camera too, as it’s highly configurable. It has a really long battery life, is incredibly study and feels great in your hands.

The Nikon D5000 features Nikon’s most advanced technology such as their Silent Wave auto-focus mechanism in the lens, which is incredibly quiet and fast. It also features the same image senor as the far more expensive prosumer Nikon cameras range, such as the D90 and D3000. One of the really cool and much more obvious features of this camera is the Flip LCD screen which you can swivel down to 90 degrees and then rotate it to left or right, up to 270 degrees, making it quite versatile for low angle and overhead. This makes the D5000 incredibly versatile, you won’t even find this LCD screen on the Nikon D90.

The Nikon D5000 is the perfect camera for anyone looking to take their photography a step further, don’t delay in picking one of these up today.

Nikon D5000 Reviews (2)

  1. May 13, 2010 by Patricia Hacker

I love this camera! I have been waiting for a long time to upgrade from 35mm to digital. This camera was worth the wait. Crisp and clear imaging that can be enlarged poster size without loss of detail. I have been very inpressed with it’s versatility.

    long, long battery life
    great auto focus
amazing in low light (Flash on or off)
    easy to use

no apparent way to turn off the light that comes on in low light settings when the flash is turned off.

I love this camera! It takes absolutely beautiful photos, and contrary to what the guy at our local camera store said it’s completely user friendly. I hope this is only the beginning to a very long a beautiful friendship!

Screen’s ability to face any direction, lots of fast easy to use buttons, don’t have to access the menu to use lots of the features, takes beautiful shots…

I’m not much of a fan of the built-in flash. It’s not as great as I hoped in low light situations because of that flash. I hope to get a better one at some point.
