I could care less about the Green factor, most of that is BS anyhow. As for the Kindle itself, it doesn’t get any better than this. My step-daughter bought a Sony eReader in BC. She bought it from the Sony store in a covered shopping center with all name brand retailers. It went on the fritz 3 weeks after she bought it, took it back to the store and Sony said in so many words, ‘Tough DUDU.’ They did nothing, didn’t even want to look at it to determine if she abused it, which she absolutely did not do. That is not how to win the hearts and minds of the people. Kindle is the best, the intended consequences are,

Pros:
No need to purchase expensive books, No need to buy bookshelves, No need to carry heavy books on vacation anymore, or anywhere else you might go. The whisper net is available just about anywhere, I haven’t had an issue anyplace when getting a new book. I’ve got my eye on the DX sized one.

Cons:
The only Con was the same as Bullman, it’s expensive.

I love love love my Kindle!!!! My husband bought it for me for Christmas it truly is the best gift I have ever gotten. I take it everywhere with me. The battery last for several days but I carry the charger with me just in case. I really don’t have a bad thing to say about. I love to read and this is for sure the best.

I love my Kindle. It is easy to read, and I have at least doubled my reading volumn since receiving it. Very easy to navigate the user’s options.

Cons
Hard to hang on to with arthritic hands, keep dropping it. Buttons should not be on the edge where they are easily pressed by mistake when picking up the Kindle.

Pros:
I love my Kindle, it was a gift from a very thoughtful friend.
It is easy to read, and I have at least doubled my reading volumn since receiving it.
Very easy to navigate the users options.

Cons:
Very hard to hang on to for old arthritic hands, perhaps a thumb indent on each side?
Move the buttons away from the side so they won’t be pressed by mistake when picking up the Kindle.

We really like ours. I particularly like the green aspect of this device.

Pros:
Instant books
3G connected
Super thin

Cons:
Wish it had a bigger screen

I’ve got one, and I like it. Not perfect…no…but getting there. I’d give it a four star rating for the moment. Also, since I’m a Kindle author, it’s easy for me to upload my current stories on the Kindle upload site. Though that software is a bit clunky, it’s still by far the easiest and fastest way to get published.

Pros:
Fast download of books.
Clear and easy to read.
Very light weight.
Slim and attractive.

Cons:
Too expensive yet.
