Have you been looking forward to Batman: Arkham City as much as I have? Arkham City is the sequel to the fantastic game Batman: Arkham Asylum. After anticipating its release for the Playstation 3 for so long, can Arkham City live up to the hype? I was a bit fearful that this game was up against too many high expectations but miraculously, it has come out on top. It's hard to believe but this sequel is just as good as Arkham Asylum, I'd say even better. The timeline of this game begins a few months off from where we left Asylum. If you played the first game, you'll feel right at home in home in Arkham City but you start the game as Bruce Wayne, not Batman. We find that Quincy Sharp the former Arkham warden is now the mayor of Gotham City.
You're soon finished lobbying against Arkham City as Bruce and suiting up as Batman to tackle Gotham's worst criminals. The game gives Batman free reign over this huge territory that is home to the worst kind of people including Two-Face and Penguin. You have to solve the mystery that involves Batman's old nemesis Dr. Hugo Strange to save your own life as well as Batman's believed Gotham City. There is so much scope to this game including fully-fledged side missions which unlock even more content. You can even play as Catwoman which adds something extra to the game. You can play these missions if you want a break from the main storyline or if you want to savor it.
There are new gadgets, advanced freeflow combat and all new flight mechanics. Batman: Arkham City for Playstation 3 is a pulse pounding, adrenaline filled romp. It demonstrates a really rich in-depth storyline that a lot of PS3 games forget. Even those who haven't played the first game will find it easy to pick up the controller and get into the action. With phenomenal graphics and imaginative environments, Batman: Arkham City is another must-have for your Playstation 3.
