Borderlands for PS3

Our Price: $21

Welcome to Borderlands. This game will envelop you into a world of strange creatures with plenty of quests and enemies to overpower. This game takes place on planet Pandora where you are in search of a mysterious alien vault. To do so, you'll have to complete a number of challenges as well as defeating a lot of enemies and their leaders of course. You can customize your character anyway you want. There is a choice of four characters- the soldier, the hunter, the siren or the berserker; each with their own skillet. If you decide you want to switch characters at any point in the game, your progress can be transferred to the next character so that's great for you indecisive types.

If you're looking for a shooter game with lots of weapon choice then Borderlands is for you. The game has an obscene amount of weapons. The weapons can be found in weapon crates, stolen from enemies or bought from vendors. As you progress, you'll find more and more to choose from and if that's not enough- the vehicles can blow stuff up as well. The best part of borderlands is the Co-op design which allows up to four players to play together. The more players that are added, the more challenging the enemy becomes and the points you receive playing as a team are added to your single player game also. Split screen is supported if you want to play on the same console.

Borderlands for PS3 Reviews (3)

  1. September 16, 2010 by John

Borderlands Is an entertaining game. The game developers Gearbox has delivered what it had promised. This game is like two different game types fused into one. After the introduction phase you have to choose a character to play the game with. The role playing game elements are there in this game but they are not very prominent. The customization options are underwhelming, you just get to choose three colors for outfit and change your name.

    Pros: gameplay, graphics, weapons
Cons: requires internet, co-op mode not playable, no option to mute player

This game is very similar to first person shooter games like Halo, gears, unreal games etc. you have keep moving constantly, jump, duck, attack from behind, do melee etc. you have to choose between stealth and special weapons. The controls are not hard and you will get a hang of it in no time. The tutorial at the beginning of the game is very handy, make sure you take it. Don’t skip the tutorial of this game, it teaches you a lot of things.

    Pros: weapons, graphics, multipler
Cons: requires internet connection, bad menu interaction

Both the graphics and the gameplay of this game are awesome. This game is a mixture of first person shooter and role playing game. The game is a bit hard and you have to really concentrate to get to the next level. The controls are simple but I found the buttons mapped to be a bit strange, maybe they would be useful later in the game but it’s still strange. The enemy is intelligent and knows when to fire and when to hide.

    Pros: gameplay, multiplayer, weapons
Cons: menu interaction, no way to mute player, menu interaction
