Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii, 2009)

Our Price: $12

Bored of playing the same old games on your Nintendo Wii? Want to try something different? Metroid Prime has found an ideal home on the Wii console. With all three of the games tucked into one package and an effective title menu, which gives direct access to any of the three titles, this game package really ensures you can have a good time running around shooting up those space pirates.

The package has been strengthened by both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes being updated with the refined control system of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Movement and control are done with the Control Stick and the Nunchuk controller, while the Wii Remote controls the Arm Cannon's crosshairs, allowing you to aim by pointing at the screen with the camera moving where the player aims. This common sense approach makes for more intuitive control and allows players to look around and attack whilst on the move.

Further to the new controls Metroid Prime 1 and 2 now have the same rewards system as Metroid Prime 3 had. This means that when you perform certain tasks or meet certain objectives, you'll get a credit, which can be used to exchange for unlockable content. On top of that the games also got bumped up the graphics with wide screen presentation and improved graphical textures. This is awesome because it remains true to the original gamecube presentation yet has developed further for the current generation of TV sets.

This package is a must-buy for those who only own Metroid Prime 3 and for those who have never played Metroid Prime. If you’re looking for a fun first person first shooter then look no further than this fantastic game at even more impressive price.

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii, 2009) Reviews (3)

This is one of the best games that I’ve purchased. I am a fan of Meteoroid Prime games; I have been waiting patiently for the launch of the Collectors’ edition. You are going to be very impressed with this game. Right from the package to the content in the DVD and the box is amazing, the manufactures have obviously made it that way to make the fans of the game drool from just opening the package.

    Pros: package, content, goodies
Cons: a bit costly, some problem in reading in Wii

I am a fan of Meteoroid Prime series of games and the launch of collector’s edition was totally unexpected and a very pleasant surprise. The packaging has been done very nicely and it is really something which you can keep in the showcase for everyone to see. The packaging and the content is so nice that you can show it off to your friends and make them jealous. The controls have improved in this game which a nice change.

Pros: new controls, better graphics, nice packaging.
Cons: problem reading the game, costly, some minor bugs

I did expect a collector’s version of Meteoroid Prime game because it is one of the best games ever. The packaging has been very well done to keep the premium collector’s item feel. In this game you play Samus Aran, you are a bounty- hunter who is wearing a power suit and you must save the galaxy from an epic danger. The game has a first person perspective and it is very different from other first person shooter game in the market.

Pros: gameplay, premium packaging, better controls
    Cons: bugs, cost, read problem
