Unlocked BlackBerry Curve 8520

Our Price: $187

Looking to upgrade your cell phone to a Blackberry? The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is a great way to join the Blackberry family. It has a really cool design, which borrows a lot of its features from the popular BlackBerry Curve 8900. The two phones share the same measurements - 4.3 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick but the BlackBerry Curve 8520 weighs a little less than BlackBerry Curve 8900 at 3.7 ounces. This phone is available in two colors – Frost and Black. The black model of this phone features a soft touch finish along the edges which prevent the phone from slipping in your hand.

It has a 2.46 inch TFT display which shows 65,000 colors at 320 x 240 pixel resolution. The images and text are shown clearly which is great for browsing the web when you're on the go. The screen is clear and bright and you have the option to change the screen brightness, backlight time, theme, font size and others through the settings menu.  Below the display is the optical trackpad between Talk and End keys. This optical trackpad replaces the traditional trackball navigator which BlackBerry has been using in every phone since the original BlackBerry Pearl. I actually found that the optical trackpad was much easier to use than the trackball navigator. Scrolling through pages and menus is smooth and you can adjust the sensitivity to suit you better. You can also press down on the trackpad to select items.

The other keys below the screen along with the optical trackpad are menu shortcut and the back button. Something that is new and unique to BlackBerry Curve 8520 are the dedicated media keys on the top of the device – there are buttons to skip, forward and play/pause your media collection. These buttons can also be used when you are watching videos or listening to music but you also can use the play/pause button as a mute button while you are on a call. Overall, this is a sleek phone with a very user-friendly interface. Whether you want to check your e-mail or enjoy media on your mobile device, the BlackBerry 8520 is the perfect cell phone to stay productive with. We've got unlocked models of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 in stock at a discount price so you can use it with any network you like. This great phone won't stay around for long at this price so grab one while you can.

Unlocked BlackBerry Curve 8520 Reviews (1)

    Features
    Value
    Reliability

I wanted a reliable phone that does email, but has a few cool features too. The Blackberry Curve does this for me and wasn’t too exepnsive either. I picked up the black one myself, because the white would attract too much dirt. I plan on having this phone for a long time, I hate getting used to a phone and then changing to another one. This phone is pretty sturdy though so I can’t imagine having to replace it anytime soon. I like the trackpad, it works very well. The screen is very clear and easy to read, especially because you can make the size of the letters as big as you want and I’ve had no problems with it.

Pros: Sturdy and very reliable. Big letters.
Cons: I don’t like too many features, it can be confusing.
