Looking to buy a sleek Android smartphone? Check out the HTC Sensation 4G. It is one of the best looking phones currently available on the market. HTC Sensation 4G has a solid and sleek design with unibody aluminium chassis. Unlike other 4.3-inch screen smartphones, the HTC Sensation does not feel heavy or bulky, most likely due to streamlined design and high quality construction. The Sensation 4G is said to be the HTC competitor to the iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S 2. The device measures 5 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide. It is only 0.4-inches thick and it weighs 5.3 ounces. This device has a premium feel and tapered edges which makes this phone comfortable to hold, which makes all the difference when typing. The HTC Sensation has a 16:9 qHD super LCD touch screen with 540 x 960 pixel resolution. The display has a contour design that gives it a concave shape making it comfortable to hold against the face and this design also protects the glass from getting scratched when it is placed screen side down.

The screen is gorgeous and a pleasure to look at; text and images look sharp with vivid colors. The screen has great visibility in bright sunlight too. The touchscreen is very responsive and it makes navigating the menus and launching applications very easy and user-friendly. Scrolling through long lists and using pinch to zoom in photos works very well. There are various choices for text entry – you can use the virtual keyboard provided by HTC or use the standard Android keyboard or you can even install Swype which is a new innovative way of typing. You swipe through the letters of the word you want to use without lifting your finger, and the word appears. The keyboard provided by HTC has a feature called Trace which makes it similar to Swype.

Below the display there are touch sensitive buttons for Home, menu, back and search functions. On the left side of the device there are volume rocker key and Micro USB port. On the top there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and power button. Above the screen is the front facing camera where you will find an awesome 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash in the back. So dump your old camera, get rid of your old phone and pick up a great deal on an unlocked HTC Sensation here.

HTC Sensation 4G Reviews (1)

  1. April 10, 2012 by Daniel

Ok there are a few things. Yes it has a beautiful display and can record great videos and can take great pictures. Interestingly enough the phone slides into a case where the buttons are on the outside of this case for easy access. It lacks a camera button on the case. It is kind of odd.. Build Quality is good but kind of slippery the back is easy to slip out of your hands… The phone feels Good in hand. Sound quality on this phone is just awful, but can be fixed with custom roms such as the Sensation XL or XE roms. However on the case where the buttons are THERE IS NO DESIGNATED CAMERA button (which is shameful cause it takes such great pictures) To access the camera you have to put an app on homescreen. Mytouch 4g had a designated Camera button on the outside.

Pros: Camera is great- Can record in 1080p- 8MP camera
    Android Marketplace
Great Display– qHD display – 4.3 inches
    Tmobile’s HSPA+ network is fast
speed tests in my area 9MB down 1.5 up
The phone is really fast- download/installation is about 6 seconds
Supports up to 32GB SD Card
    Has Custom Roms..
The phone is light 148g with battery (mytouch 4g is 145)
    Has dual core processor
Cons: NO DESIGNATED CAMERA BUTTON (on housing) !
Sound is awful on it, on high its still hard to hear
HTC sense- its a battery killer.
Swype comes preloaded messed up.. and has to be obtained from their website in order to work properly (the one included lacks features and even autospacing was not working properly on version included for me )
