Ready for the next Google phone? The long awaited Nexus S is here, which is the first Google phone to run Gingerbread. If you haven't heard of Gingerbread, it is the fastest version of Android to be released so you can expect a super fast OS on a slick new device. This phone sets itself greatly apart from the Nexus One. If you liked the features of Android before, you will love Gingerbread even more. Everything from multi-tasking to the functionality of the keyboard have been improved to give the best user experience yet.

Just like the iPhone you'll have a pocket sized device that allows you to browse the web, play games, watch videos and of course, it's a great phone also. Yet you don't have to pay for the apple premium. For storing videos, music and games the Nexus S has 16GB of internal memory. Match this with a 1GHz hummingbird processor and you've got one of the fastest, most fluid phones on the market. The form factor of this device is gorgeous. Light, black and glossy it fits comfortably in your pocket but the screen is large enough to browse the web and play games. The 4-inch Contour Display has a curved design to allow for ergonomic use. As your phone is something you use everyday, this is a very welcome design.

The Nexus S is the very best Android smartphone that has hit the market. From the form factor to an incredible battery life, it is no wonder that these are flying off the shelves. Grab yours now while they are still available.

Unlocked Nexus S 16GB Reviews (2)

  1. February 28, 2011 by Matthew

It is not as good as I thought it looked seeing just the pictures. It is a little too glossy for my taste and looks plastic which is not at all how a high end phone should look. Looks aside, the phone is very good. It has a 1GHz Hummingbird processor which makes the phone really fast. Graphics heavy games don’t have any problem running smoothly in this phone. The startup times are faster and multitasking is very smooth.

    Pros: processor, android OS, apps
    Cons: body, button placement, camera

One of my main problems with this phone is that it does not have expandable memory and just 16GB memory is not enough for me. I used N900 which has 32GB inbuilt memory and I added another 16GB memory in it to make sure that all my music and videos fit in it. Another thing is the battery life. Android operating system is battery heavy. The battery does not last for even two days.

Pros: screen, android os, hummingbird processor
    Cons: memory, camera, button placement
