HP Touchpad

Our Price: $157

Things are heating up with the tablet battle and there is lots to choose from on the market and the moment but fans of HP products will be delighted to see the introduction of the very affordable HP Touchpad, which offers a full tablet experience at a very competitive price. The HP touchpad’s design is a little different than the tablets that are currently available on the market like the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the iPad 2. HP Touchpad is half an inch thick and it is wrapped in high gloss plastic. Even though it feels solid, the black gloss does attract fingerprints, which is a minor complaint about this device. Apart from this, the design of the tablet is very practical. There are dedicated controls on the device for functions such as screen lock and volume control and a home screen button. There are two almost invisible speaker grills on the left edge of the device which give great sound when watching videos or listening to music. With 32GB of storage, you'll have plenty of entertainment to keep you busy. There is a standard headphone jack on the top edge of the device and a Micro USB on the bottom for charging and syncing.

Web browsing on the HP Touchpad is really enjoyable as it offers a full web browsing experience. Support for Adobe Flash is built in so you can view most websites as you would on your computer screen. There is a screen rotation lock in the pull down menu so that when you're relaxing with your device, the screen won't be flipping around. The display has a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixel – it is a capacitive display which means multi-touch gestures are supported. The device is really easy to navigate with the webOS 3.0 which is powered by a Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2 GHz processor. The HP Touchpad also comes integrated with a graphics chip which is capable of rendering 3D graphics.

Using Synergy with your HP Touchpad allows you to sync data from your personal accounts including Exchange, Google, Yahoo, LinkedIn and Facebook. From there, you can easily keep track of Messages, contacts and calendar entries which update constantly from your various accounts. There is a front-facing camera on this tablet, which is dedicated to web chat. I don't know who would want to take a photo with a tablet, but you can't with the HP Touchpad. You can use the camera with Skype though, and Skype integration is ready right out of the box. Simply login with your username and password and you'll be ready to Skype. With the new low price, these HP Touchpads are flying out of here like hot cakes. Grab one at a bargain price while stocks last.
