Our Price: $50

The Zune offers amazing portable video and audio playback that can be enjoyed via a beautiful, crisp 3.2-inch screen. The glass screen looks much better than the original Zune's plastic one and it is extremely scratch resistant. The 320X240 resolution is great for watching videos.

You have the option enjoy them from a sideways angle also. There’s a built in radio and the option to set your own custom wallpaper from the photos in your collection, two features that set the Zune apart from the iPod. The premium headphones that are included are very comfortable and block out all the surrounding noise. If you have an Xbox, you can stream content in Zune software wirelessly to your Xbox 360. You can also avail of wireless Zune to Zune sharing and wireless sync with your computer using Wi-Fi. The Firmware is newly designed and it looks funky.

The animatons are fun. Music and videos are pretty simple to navigate. A flick to the right or left immediately changes categories. With a weight of 4.5 ounces, you can carry it in your bag or pocket with no hassle at all.

Microsoft Zune™ Digital Media Player Reviews (9)

  1. April 24, 2009 by Dave

I purchased the second gen Zune 4 months ago. It’s a LOT slimmer than the previous one and while it’s not quite an iPod, it’s got some features that make it better.

The important thing for me was the capacity with a big screen. The iPod touch (and iPhone) have the big screen I was looking for but had the capacity of an old school floppy disk! This would not have mattered if Apple had have provided it’s iPod users with an expandable memoryy slot but they didn’t. With the Microsoft Zune I got the big screen with enough storage space for all my episodes I’ve downloaded and all without having to buy extra memory.

Despite the stigma that some attach to the Zune, I wouldn’t buy into Apple’s marketing hype. This piece of kit is far superior to any Apply product.

I have owned a Zune and an Ipod and I find the Zune much more user friendly and the Zune Marketplace makes it easy to obtain music.

I bought a Zune several years ago wanting to get away from being ‘owned by Apple’. Once I set up my Zune I could update and add music without ever being on their site. So when my 8 GB Zune was stolen I upgraded to 120 GB and am just as pleased. My kids have/had IPODs. 2 of the 3 have already have moved to Zune players. They love being able to share songs and not having everything ‘Apple’ protected. They love the larger screen and the fact that with a Zune pass, you can download as many songs as you want for the month, plus keep 10 songs permanently. Much better than the IPOD set up.

bought my 30gb Zune when they first came out, and it still works great years down the road. Sometimes the back button doesn’t want to work and the navigation button overall isn’t too intuitive to input. However this is small stuff, I don’t feel like anyone but me owns the music on it, it’s only got what I ripped and what I download off limewire. All my ipod loving friends hate that.

    Pros:
    nice display

    Cons:
buttons quirky, questionable battery life, NObody has accessories for it.

Sorry to hear that dhancock, i have Win7 64 and my Zune works awesome with it. Of course I have a wireless network card in my computer so that i can easily connect all my other computers and players without all the hassle of wires. Love the Zune. Definatly better then the C-rapple I-pod!

Pros: Love the whole set-up! Tons of space and the compatability is just crazy with so many different kinds of file types. Best value for what you get by far on the market.

Cons: Battery life, maybe. I’ve watched 3 movies before the batter took a crap so it cant be that bad…
