The BenQ PE7700 is the follow up to the hugely popular 8700+ which was a great selling projector. The 7700 has all the benefits of the 8700 and more. Best of all, the price has gone down.
The performance of the projector overall is much better; the natural colours are great with the 1280x720 resolution. It puts out a remarkable amount of light. he menu design has been completely changed. It is much more intuitive and easy to use. There are preset modes that include home theatre, photo, gaming and cinema mode. BenQ has done a great job in making projectors more accessible to first time buyers. Out of the box, it is easy to set up and the performance is great even before playing around with the settings. Impressively, the 7700 is a very quiet projector. The image is virtually noise-free and there is even a noise filter that is accessible in the menu.
While it's no InFocus X10, the remote works well. It is easy to use and the backlight on the remote is a nice feature. Buying a high quality projector has never been easier or more affordable.
